Christian Cassella is an Italian artivist, author, creative director, publisher, musician, DJ, and activist. Active since 2008, his work operates at the intersection of art, cultural production, independent publishing, music, and social engagement.

He is the founder and legal owner of ARTIVISM di Christian Cassella, an independent creative initiative and registered business entity, and holder of the artivism® trademark and related intellectual property. His professional activity is officially registered with the Italian Camera di Commercio and is documented through media coverage, publications, festivals, and cultural institutions.

Extended Biography

Christian “Chry” Cassella identifies himself as an artivist. After completing classical studies, he graduated in Performing Arts and Sciences of Performance at Sapienza University of Rome and later specialized in design and social innovation at the Centro Sperimentale MEDIARS in Los Angeles, California.

He has been actively involved in social and political movements, including The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) and the local networks Donare Italia, the R2020 “fires”, and the VITA party. As a creative consultant, he has collaborated with CRM – Centro Ricerche Musicali and with the interdisciplinary contemporary culture festival ArteScienza. He is also a co-author, together with Silvano Agosti, of the Media Festival “Pensiero Sostenibile".

He founded artivism®, an innovative startup and multimodal space created to share ideas, promote social movements, mobilize local communities, develop creative skills, and produce socially relevant works.

“Rimbaud, il primo poeta punk?” is his debut publication.

• 2008–2012: Director of the art-situationist collective Deconstruction; 2009: organized the countercultural music series The Vinyl is the Future; 2011: launched theNight of the Living Dead series; 2012: launched From Dusk Till Dawn; 2013: revived Night of the Living Dead for a few dates in Rome; 2015: curated the black-and-white Horrorscope music series.
